Preparing for OS X Mountain Lion Installation. February 16, 2012
Posted by 37prime in : Apple, Mountain Lion, News, OS X, Resources, Tech , add a commentApple has just announced the availability of OS X Mountain Lion Developer Preview. For those who are eager to download and install this Developer Preview should proceed with caution. Without breaking any NDA’s we can safely assume:
- It comes with delicious bugs and incomplete features.
- It is not ready as your production machine.
- Some of the applications might not work.
If you want to install OS X Mountain Lion Developer Preview, you might want to consider the following steps:
- Do not upgrade any of your Snow Leopard or Lion systems. Start with fresh install is preferable.
- Use a dedicated hard drive for Mountain Lion installation.
- Create the OS X Mountain Lion installation media using DVD or USB flash drive from the InstallESD.dmg (Show Package Contents on “Install OS X Mountain Lion Preview 1″ then go to “Contents\Shared Support”).
Don’t forget to report any bugs you find to Apple at http://bugreporter.apple.com/.

500 February 9, 2012
Posted by very in : Apple, News, Tech , add a commentApple (AAPL) shares hit record high today at 496.72 and closed at 493.17; up 16.49 from Wednesday February 8th, 2012. The way it is right now, Apple will soon break 500.
The record breaking quarter for fiscal 2012 first quarter might have something to do with it. Apple is expected to release the third generation of iPad before the first half of 2012, then followed by the sixth generation of iPhone. On the rumor mill, Apple is supposedly working on a television set. Apple will still be busy in 2012.
Apple has one interesting product transition that might see the light of day in 2012. Apple has been quietly working on this product for the last six years since the transition to x86 platform. Just like many, it was a skunkworks project that now seems to make sense. We all have to wait and see.
For disclosure I do not explicitly own AAPL stocks or any stocks.
