According to a sales rep, they are expecting new shipment of MacBook Pros within the next two Tuesdays. Even though it is not clear if it’s going to be the new MacBook Pros or not. The most convincing clue is that the next batch of MacBook Pros will be carry the usual Educational pricing. Considering the previous batch of MacBook Pros were sold to Higher Education at an even more discounted price, the next shipment might be the new MacBook Pro models. -eou
According to sources, Apple is selling MacBook Pros at select University Computer Stores lower than the usual Educational prices. Previously Apple has done similar sales ahead of introduction of new Mac models.
A baseline 13-inch MacBook Pro usually retails $1,199.00 and sells for $1,099.00 for Education Market. Certain University Computer Stores are selling the same MacBook Pro for $999.00 and $100.00 off AppleCare. If you are currently attending or working for a University, you might want to check out your Computer Store for the deal.
It is possible that new MacBook Pros are coming as early as end of April to mid-May.
