Everyone is an RF Antenna Expert Now.

Posted in Apple, iPhone, Media, News, Tech at 4:15 pm by 37prime

iPhone 4 has apparently encouraged people to become RF Antenna experts. Just look at the comments at Digg or Reddit, Apple-centric sites and anti-Apple sites. Everyone knows exactly what’s going on in the RF Antenna world. Not that it requires some kind of education in certain field to become RF Antenna expert.

I am for sure not an RF Antenna expert, but I always tkae everything I read with a grain or sometimes a boulder of salt. The last time I checked both iPhone 3GS and Nexus One suffers from the death grip issue. Even further, bot iPhone 3GS and Nexus One are dropping calls in the usual spots. Thanks AT&T. I do not have an iPhone 4, but I have tested a few of them. From what I’ve experience, my death grip skill must be really rusty. I could not drop any calls on the iPhone whichever way I held it. Then again it is likely that I was in the area where AT&T really pays attention to and providing really strong signals.

iPhone 4 is a big and convenient target. Everybody wants to be William Tell. Everybody is an RF Antenna Expert now.

Rant-o-rama: Leo Laporte needs to take a deep breath.

It is getting harder and harder to take Leo Laporte seriously. More and more Leo becomes more emotional about the news. Recently Leo calls Audible for the Android to be the killer app. Audible for sure has a great software for Android, but that’s not the problem. Let us all remind ourself that Leo Laporte and his TWiT network are sponsored by Audible. There are a lot of bias there. In the past, Leo was bashing WordPress and recommends SquareSpace. SquareSpace is also a sponsor of TWiT network.

Leo, whenever you read a news-piece you should stop for a second. You have been trolled too many times lately. Then again you’re still listening to the Microsoft P.R. that is Paul Thurrott.

Leo, your radio show becomes a playground for your own mistakes. A lot of “advice” you’re giving to your callers tend to be useless and wrong.

Anyway, this is all I can rant about for now.
