Installing Snow Leopard on My MacBook Pro Core Duo…….Again.
Well, I am re-installing Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my 15-inch MacBook Pro Core Duo. I have been running Snow Leopard Developer Beta and updating it to the current version. There might be some leftovers that might cause a little problems with some apps, primarily with Adobe Creative Suite 4.
I’ve just finished backing up all the data and now typing this. Synced all the iPhones and iPods too.

I’m trying to decide how long I should wait before installing Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro (Core Duo). Typically, I wait for a new OS by Apple to mature before I jump in (generally around the .4 or .5 stage), but since Snow Leopard is supposed to be a refinement upgrade, I’m thinking about jumping in early, maybe as early as the .2 stage. I’m very interested in hearing your experience with Finder. (Currently, I occasionally get small (but annoying) lags in Finder.)

I was wondering if it was worth it my first gen. MacBook Pro. It’s a Core Duo machine with ATI X1600 so I won’t get any of the 64Bit or OpenCL goodness and I’m sure I’ve got a couple of things that might have compatibility issue like CS3. I’m not sure what I’d really gain as I don’t plan on using exchange any time soon either.
Have you noticed much of an improvement, maybe through GCD?

It’s totally worth it.
From what I’ve read, CS3 is working fine with Snow Leopard, it’s only Adobe that would no longer provide supports.
I have CS4 so I can’t comment much about CS3 and Snow Leopard.
The speed improvement alone is enough reason for me to upgrade. Cocoa Finder is much more stable.
